Get to know more about us

To ensure you get the best quality rice in the world, only I AM COMIDITIES has developed the unique and special 8-step Octa-Q process. The process begins with the sourcing and selection of authentic rice varieties. It all started in the verdant and fertile fields of Punjab, Pakistan, which were watered by snow-capped rivers flowing from the Himalayas.

Growing & Harvesting:

Rice is a crop in the Kharif (autumn) region, which means that the planting, growing and harvesting takes place during the monsoon season of the Asian subcontinent. June to July is the rice growing season and the harvest season starts from September and lasts until November. Different varieties of rice have different harvest times and therefore have different harvest times snow fed rivers originating from Himalayas

Paddy Section

If low quality grain is used then no experience or machinery can turn that into high quality output. Therefore, after thorough examination only the finest paddy is selected. Absolutely no compromise is made in paddy selection process

Paddy Cleaning

As paddy arrives at ANRT, all impurities such as dirt, stones, etc are removed. If there are immature grains found then they are also discarded. As much care as possible is used during this process. Modern technology is used for efficient drying of rice paddy. All moisture from the paddy is dried using state of the art dryers.

Milling and Warehouse

Milling And Warehousing

During the milling stage of the process, the cocoons of the dried paddy are also removed. The whole grain obtained in this process is brown and this is the first time the paddy has turned into rice. The result is rice with a brown texture due to the many layers of bran inside. Since aging is what makes rice perfect,  time to bring out all the natural aroma, taste and quality. .

Rice To Rice

Pre Cleaning

Again, quality checks are performed on the rice to ensure that the rice that has undergone this process is free of any kind of impurities (stones, threads, etc.).

Polishing

To give the rice a smooth and silky texture, the rice is passed through a polishing machine. For this process, two polishing machines are used as required.

Grading

Length grading and thickness grading are then performed to verify the grain thickness and length. Size uniformity is achieved by separating broken and atrophied nuclei.

Color Sorting

Color sorting is computer-controlled process where CCD technology is used for high-resolution-optical inspection of each and every grain. Eventually to ensure high quality of the product discolored and damage grains are separated using state of the art high tech color sorting unit.

Packaging

I AM COMMIDITIES has installed modern computerized bagging scales to ensure high accuracy in weighing. The packaging process is carefully designed and implemented to increase the shelf life of the product as well as facilitate transportation to the point of consumption. I AM COMMIDITIES goes even further when introducing its products with beautiful, eye-catching and outstanding designs. Various packing materials (i.e. jute, cotton, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, P.E, are used according to customer requirements

RICE ANATOMY

Rice Bran:

Amazingly, rice bran was once considered waste and used only to make animal feed. Fortunately, we now know better! Rice bran is surprisingly healthy: Each ounce of rice bran provides 6 grams of fiber (a quarter of the daily recommended intake) and is a good source of iron, vitamin B6, potassium, thiamin, niacin, manganese and phosphorus.

The Hull

The husk of the rice grain is not edible by humans and is removed during processing. Due to its high silica content, it has great potential as an industrial product.

White Rice:

White rice has an unnecessarily bad reputation! White rice is packed with nutrients, with one cup providing 12% of the RDA for niacin, 23% for folate, 17% for thiamin and 37% for manganese!
